The apartments are framed by the charming landscapes of the Badia Valley and the Puster Valley, the Dolomites and Kronplatz, the nature parks of Puez-Geisler and Fanes-Sennes-Prags – an area worth visiting and exploring in all its variety, that ranges from breath-taking views to numerous sporting, gastronomic and cultural attractions.

This serene beauty, together with the apartments’ equipment and facilities, creates a totally relaxing atmosphere. But, attracted by the charm of the surrounding scenery, it’s absolutely impossible to resist the temptation to set off for exploration. By car, by bike or on foot, following one of countless picturesque trails… But also by snowshoeing or ski touring across the virgin slopes of Maurerberg (Monte Muro) and Peitlerkofel (Monte Pütia) or by skiing along the perfectly prepared Alpine ski runs of Kronplatz, Alta Badia and other areas of Dolomiti Superski. The nearest mountain lift, Piculin cable car of the ski area San Vigilio di Marebbe and Kronplatz, is just 3 km away from Funtanies Apartments.

The colours and materials have been inspired by the surrounding scenery of valleys and mountains, while the balconies will make you fall in love with the captivating views.

Simplicity, comfort and efficiency are the highlights of every space, whether indoor or outdoor. The house features an outdoor private parking, a covered area for bikes and motorcycles, a heated space for storing skis and ski boots and a free WI-FI connection. In summer, the private garden, equipped with a children’s playground (sandbox, swing), invites to relaxation and catches magnificent views of the valley and of the Dolomites.

Pütia Apartment

The Pütia Apartment of the house Funtaníes in San Martino in Badia is a perfect family lodge. It is composed of two bedrooms, a double one and a twin one (upon request, the two single beds can be united into a double one) and a living room with a dining area, a sofa, a TV/Sat and an open-plan kitchen, equipped with electric hob, fridge with freezer, small electric oven (for heating bread for breakfast), drip coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, egg cooker, moka (Italian espresso maker), kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery. In the bathroom you will find shower, WC, wash basin and hairdryer. The apartment’s two balconies are equipped with tables, chairs and drying racks and allow to contemplate a breath-taking view of the magnificent surroundings. The bigger one also features a natural stone floor. The apartment has a private washing machine, which can be used with a small extra fee.

Sas dla Crusc Apartment

As its name suggests, the Sas dla Crusc Apartment of the house Funtaníes in San Martino in Badia offers a magnificent view of Sas dla Crusc, an imposing mountain that arouses respect and awe. The apartment is composed of a double bedroom and a living room with a dining area, a French-size sofa bed, a TV/Sat and an open-plan kitchen, equipped with induction hob, fridge with freezer, microwave oven, drip coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, egg cooker, moka (Italian espresso maker), kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery. In the bathroom you will find shower, WC, bidet, wash basin and hairdryer. The balcony is equipped with a table, chairs and a drying rack. The apartment has a private washing machine, which can be used with a small extra fee.

General conditions

The prices are indicated per person, per day, for a minimum stay of 3 days. During the main tourist season the apartments are rented only for the whole week, from Saturday till Saturday.

All prices include: VAT, outdoor private parking, covered area for bikes and motorcycles, heated area for skis and ski boots, bed linen and towels, WI-FI connection, weekly cleaning in case of long stays, final cleaning.

To the indicated prices will be added the local tourist tax of EUR 2.60 per person (starting from 14 years old) per day.

Pets are not accepted.

The booking is considered binding only after the payment of the deposit (normally 1/3 of the total price of the stay). In case of cancellations made less than 4 weeks before arrival, the deposit is non-refundable. The deposit should be transferred to the following bank account:

To settle the final bill you can use cash (up to EUR 2999), bank transfer, credit or debit cards. In case of late arrival, early departure or smaller number of guests, the total price of the reservation will be billed.

Cancellation policy (according to the General Terms and Conditions of the Hotel Industry AGBH 2006):

More than 3 months before arrival, no penalty (the deposit will be refunded up to 80%)
From 3 months to 1 month before arrival, cancellation penalty 40% of the total price of your stay
From 1 month to 1 week before arrival, cancellation penalty 70% of the total price of your stay
1 week before arrival and less, cancellation penalty 90% of the total price of your stay

Apartments are available from 2 p.m.on the day of arrival until 9 a.m.on the day of departure.

Upon departure, guests are kindly asked to leave their apartment tidy.

Smoking is not allowed inside the apartments. Guests should inform the owners about all visitors if they don’t stay in one of Funtaníes Apartments.

The charm of San Martino di Badia

In winter, skiing and snowboarding are undoubtedly the most popular activities in the Dolomites. And San Martino in Badia is no exception. Indeed, the guests of Funtaníes Apartments can enjoy skiing in all its variety. Cross-country skiers can explore the magnificent trails at Würzjoch and in San Vigilio di Marebbe (St. Vigil in Enneberg). Those who prefer ski touring will be spoilt for choice by the itineraries at Maurerberg (Monte Muro), Peitlerkofel (Monte Pütia) and in the nature parks of Puez-Geisler (Puez-Odle) und Fanes-Sennes-Prags (Fanes-Senes-Braies). For Alpine skiing there is a wide choice of ski runs on Kronplatz (just 3 km away) and a convenient shuttle to Alta Badia, an access point to Sellaronda and other ski circuits across the Dolomiti Superski area. But the surrounding mountains attract not only skiers, they are also a perfect destination for winter trekking and snowshoeing.

Summer, however, is the time for biking, motorcycling and, of course, hiking. There are lots of beautiful trails that wind towards the nature parks Puez-Geisler (Puez-Odle) and Fanes-Sennes-Prags (Fanes-Senes-Braies), through the Mill Valley and among “viles”, typical rural settlements of the Badia Valley. The nearby passes of the Dolomites are a magnet for road cyclists. While thrill-seekers can have fun with a mountain bike on numerous freeride and downhill trails, such as the nearby Piz da Plaies. And even when the summer comes to an end, followed by first autumn rains, there are people who rub their hands with glee – these are mushroom hunters, attracted by Würzjoch (Passo delle Erbe), well-known for its woodland rich in porcini,chanterelles and lots of other mushroom species. Perhaps it’s the endless diversity of this land that makes every holiday here unique and fascinating, whether it’s summer or winter.

Funtaníes Apartments are a perfect solution for those who are looking for tranquillity and wish to make the most of their holiday in the Kronplatz region and in the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site, just 3 km away from the village of San Martino in Badia, that hosts the famous Ladin museum Ciastel de Tor and features various craft workshops and nice little restaurants where you can taste traditional dishes accompanied by a glass of South Tyrolean wine. Piculin cable car and the ski slopes of the Kronplatz ski area are also just 3 km away from Funtaníes apartments. In winter, Funtaníes Apartments can be reached only along the state road of the Badia Valley (SS244), turning in the village of Piccolino towards San Martino in Badia. The mountain pass of Würzjoch / Passo delle Erbe is closed for traffic during the whole winter season.
